- What is the minimum collection value you will buy?
- We will review any submission over $250 in estimated value. Lots under $250 are usually better served by consigning through our auction partners; we will point you to the right venue if we are not it.
- Who pays for shipping and insurance?
- The Card Chest pays, every time. Once you accept our written offer, we email a prepaid UPS label with $100,000 in declared-value coverage included. Estate pickups over $50,000 in declared value are handled by a bonded courier at our expense.
- How is payment sent, and how fast?
- ACH for any amount up to $25,000, arriving in 1–2 business days. Wire for transactions over $25,000, same-day release on intake confirmation. We do not offer escrow holds, net-30 terms, or store credit.
- Can I reject the offer after you inspect the cards?
- Yes. If the on-hand inspection comes in lower than our preliminary number — because of a crack in a slab, a misrepresented grade, or a card that turned out to be a reprint — we will ship the cards back insured at our cost. You are never on the hook for our grading error.
- What happens to raw, ungraded cards?
- Raw cards over $200 are sent through our in-house PSA submission service at no charge to you, then re-offered at the graded price. Raw cards under $200 are valued as raw and purchased outright; we do not leave them sitting in limbo.
- How are estate representatives and executors handled?
- We work with executors, attorneys, and trustees directly. We provide written appraisal letters suitable for probate filings, detailed inventory reports, and can structure payouts to multiple beneficiaries on request. Bring the letters testamentary and we handle the rest.
